WHO WE ARE.
Used Stuff has been salvaging building materials for reuse in the Sarasota/ Bradenton area since 1996. We are dedicated to keeping reusable building materials from the landfill, preserve components of our Sarasota architectural heritage and provide affordable building materials to our customers. We believe in the power of recycling, repurposing, reusing and reinventing.
It is our passion to inspire a culture of reuse while recycling salvageable building materials from waste. We are a certified Green Business Partner in association with Sarasota County.
THE BEGINING.
With an instinct for people and a passion for what he does the owner Rande Robbins has built an extraordinary business! He started Used Stuff 19 years ago with the help of his family. Rethinking what we throw away, was one of the main thoughts/ideas behind the creation of Used Stuff. As a painter, Rande saw the amount of building materials being thrown away on job sites and decided to do something about it.
Our first store opened on June 18, 1966 in Bradenton. The first inventory consisted of very few doors and toilets, one set of cabinets and some furniture. Over time, Used Stuff has moved location and expanded. In December 2002, Used Stuff relocated to downtown Sarasota! The Used Stuff Marketplace open in May 2014.
